Garden report: the Stella D’Oro day lilies bloomed. The daisies are finishing their run. I weeded the vegetable bed and found four green beans. There are blossoms on the plants so the harvest will increase. I also have two small cucumbers.

Singer Kimaya Diggs will perform Aug. 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Emily Dickinson Museum, as part of the weekly concert series sponsored by the Business Improvement District.

Exciting news. Tiina Booth, an Orchard Valley neighbor and retired Ultimate Frisbee coach at Amherst Regional High School, shared some good news. A documentary, “I was a Hurricane” will have its world premiere in Amherst Saturday, Aug. 8 at 8 p.m. on the Town Common. Filmmaker Levi Jamieson Marsh created the three-part mini series that details how a group of teens search for connection and found purpose and belonging through Ultimate, according to the release.
The event is sponsored by the Business improvement District and the town. It’s free.
In case of rain, the documentary will be shown at the Eric Carle Museum Sat. at 5 and 8 p.m. A panel on Ultimate and an encore screening will be held Aug. 9 at the Eric Carle Museum.

Rebecca Mlynarczyk of Plainfield sent me an email about the Concerts at 7 series at the Plainfield Congregational Church, Route 116 in Plainfield. The series runs Aug. 10, 17, 24 and 31 at 7 p.m. The programs include string quartets and piano trios. The concerts are free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.
