The Zakaitis clan is very proud that Kaelyn ended the year at Elms College with 4.0 grade point average. You can’t get any higher than that.

Ron Bell was perhaps the nicest person in town. He was a gentleman in both regards, always kind, gracious, patient with a great sense of humor. He was even-tempered and I don’t recall him saying anything mean about anybody. I saw him three Tuesdays a month for decades when I covered the school committees and he was the Assistant Superintendent. He could defuse a tense situation with just a few words. He was a wonderful musician playing trumpet for the Valley Light Orchestra, the brass quintet he founded and other musical groups. He also organized a holiday concert for many years to benefit the Amherst Survival Center. He made a positive difference in our community.
Sincere condolences to the family and his friends.
