With the coming of Labor Day, it’s time to announce the summer postcard winners. Mona Wu Orr of Amherst is the winner of the summer postcard contest with an entry from Taipei, Taiwan. Bruce and Valerie Penniman of Amherst came in second with a card from Agra, India. Heidi NortonSmith of Northampton won the domestic card contest with a card from Northampton. All will receive vegetables from the garden with Mona getting the most as the first place winner.
The winter postcard contest now begins. Cards can be mailed, emailed or hand delivered. I know it is difficult in some places to find stamps or a post office. Winter winners receive homemade cookies: chocolate chip, peanut butter, molasses, oatmeal raisin, peanut blossoms and snickerdoodle. Safe travels.
