To liberals protesting against Israel: In 1994 about 800,000 Hutu and Tutsi civilians were killed (primarily Tutsis). Did you protest in the streets and on college campuses? Did you organize and write letters of condemnation? In March, 1945, the United States firebombed Tokyo and killed 100,000 civilians. In February, 1945, British and American bombing of Dresden, Germany killed 25,000 civilians. If you were alive then would you have (or did you) protest in the streets and on college campuses? Would/did you organize and write letters of condemnation? I believe you either did not and if you were alive in 1945 would not have publicly condemned any of those civilian slaughters. So, why are you now protesting Israelโs right to retaliate against the perpetrators of the brutal killing of civilians by Hamas on Oct. 7? Is it because the Israelis are Jews? It sure looks like that.
