I hope you will join me in giving one of your at-large Town Council votes to Matt Holloway. Here’s why: Matt will contribute from day one because he’s already been serving on our town Finance Committee, and I love his passion for the arts, which is why he served as co-chair of the Cultural Council.
I got to work with him as he co-chaired the campaign to build our new, net-zero elementary school, which won 82% of the vote. That’s an impressive track record of community service.
Professionally, Matt has impressive experience working in a public school district as head of student services supporting the most vulnerable children. He is a champion of kids and knows how to manage public budgets. He’s a team player who is looking at big picture questions such as our need to build up our child care infrastructure which is needed if we want to grow the number of families living here.
I want councilors who will ask hard questions, work to build consensus and help bring the community along in the inevitable compromise that is good governance. I have seen Matt do this and I hope you’ll join me in voting for him. Let’s not miss this opportunity to put his energy and expertise to work for the town.
