DEERFIELD — For those looking to ring in Deerfield’s 350th birthday in town, tickets are now available for the 350th Jubilee, a New Year’s Eve party to kick off a year’s worth of anniversary celebrations.
The event, to be held at Deerfield Academy’s dining hall, will start at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 and run through 1 a.m., with dinner, live music and guest speakers. All proceeds will support Deerfield’s 350th anniversary events, which will continue throughout 2023. The event is organized by the Friends of Deerfield, a non-profit that raises money for town activities.
“It’s a chance to ring in the new year and also an opportunity for people to look at Deerfield’s entire history,” said Friends of Deerfield President and South County Senior Center Director Jennifer Remillard. “Our town is full of an eclectic group of people. … It’s an opportunity to celebrate our history from the Pocumtuck people to now.”
The dress code is informal black and white attire and tickets are available now through Dec. 13. A single ticket is $100, a pair of tickets is $180 and $720 pays for a table of eight. A ticket includes attendance, a meal catered by Hilltown Organic Catering and a cake from Bittersweet Bakery and Cafe. A cash bar will be available with a cocktail hour from 6 to 7 p.m. Tickets are available at bit.ly/3Tp0vCC.
