I write this as a public service message. For people with hearing loss who have difficulty using the telephone there is a valuable service available for free. It is a telephone which displays on a small screen the text of the person speaking on the other end of the line.
There is a 2-second delay in the display, but the voice message is accurately translated to text. The phone is free, paid for by the federal government under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
A technician will come to your house, install it and explain how to use it.
