I applaud the actions of the Amherst Town Council in establishing the Community Responders for Equity, Safety and Service agency, and the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion office. Though posting lawn signs is important in raising awareness of issues, it’s concrete actions like these that really move us forward in the fight for social and racial justice.
