Indoor garden report: I planted hyacinths in a pot and put them in a cool dark location, my basement, following the directions on the package.
In a few weeks, they should sprout. At that point you bring them upstairs and water. In 7-8 weeks, the bulbs should be in bloom.
My Thanksgiving cactus is on time. I have buds at the end of some leaves.

“The Pirates of Penzance,” presented by the Valley Light Opera, was splendid! It was so good to be in a theater to see a live performance. The audience was masked and vaccination cards were checked. The Sunday performance honored two devoted VLO members, Glen Gordon and Anjuh Diggs, who died. It was a wonderful tribute.
Get tickets if you can.
