SUNDERLAND — In the only contested races on the ballot in Saturday’s election, Sunderland School Committee member Peter Gagarin retained his seat on the committee for another three-year term, while newcomer Meghan Arquin also won a seat.
Christyl Drake-Tremblay was elected to the Selectboard, filling the seat left by member Scott Bergeron, whose term ends this year.
The annual election attracted 198 voters out of a possible 2,459.
Gagarin has served on the committee for 3½ years and been involved in town government for the last 30 years, including seven years on the Finance Committee.
Arquin, owner and operator of Riverland Farm on River Road, previously said she ran for a seat on the board after a year of watching how decisions are made and how those decisions impact her children’s experience at school.
All uncontested candidates on the ballot won their respective elections.
