Thank you to Michele Miller for her wonderful and timely guest column reminding us of the 30th anniversary of Family Outreach of Amherst and its service to our community. (“Family Outreach of Amherst enters its 30th year,” Bulletin, May 22)
Amherst is fortunate to have an agency whose mission it is to provide the tools to help families take command of their lives. As Program Manager Francine Rodriguez says, “The door at FOA never closes.”
Even under today’s difficult circumstances, she and her colleagues always find a way to help. Their work with issues of homelessness, trauma, abuse, poverty, and joblessness is strong. Executive Director Laura Reichsman, Francine Rodriguez, and Iris Rosa really do work miracles.
FOA is grateful for the many, past and future, who support the agency in myriad ways. We are proud to have served on the advisory board for 18 and 17 years, respectively.
