In reference to your article titled “Applications, apologies and all-nighters: How local banks, businesses are navigating the PPP,” I’m writing in as a community business owner (Bueno Y Sano) to show my appreciation for Greenfield Savings Bank.

The people at the bank worked tirelessly to submit our payroll protection loan application. The image in your article of the GSB people watching the sun come up the day the funding ran out says it all. As far as I could tell, everyone on their staff was working on the loan applications day and night.

It’s been an anxious time for restaurant owners and countless other businesses. This kind of support goes a long way to solidify an already strong relationship. We received funding at the end of the first round and it made all the difference for us. It seems the best way to go forward in this uncertain time is to ask yourself “What can I do to make a difference for others?”

This has been our approach and it certainly seems to be the question that Greenfield Savings Bank is answering.
