HADLEY — Even though the results of the annual town election, which has yet to be held, typically prompt the reorganization of the Select Board, board members agreed to reorganize lst week.

Board member David J. Fill II was unanimously named the new chairman, taking over for Christian Stanley after one year at the helm.

Joyce Chunglo, the five-member board’s longest-serving member, nominated Fill, saying that he could handle the increased workload associated with the role.

She added that Stanley did a tremendous job over the past 12 months.

“You set the pace for what we have to do in the coming year,” Chunglo said.

Molly Keegan, who is stepping off the board and will be replaced by one of four residents competing in the May 16 town election,  said Stanley had done great “and I think David Fill is underworked.”
