Garden report: I planted lettuce, red and white onion starts. They do not need watering.

The dandelions and violets have bloomed in the lawn.

We are so fortunate to have so much music available. I went to a wonderful concert of music by women composers at the Unitarian Meeting House last week.

One of the performers was flutist Susan Bono, who hosts Sunday Baroque on WFCR. She does not look like I pictured her. When you only hear a voice, you conjure an image. I had in mind short and brown hair. She is tall and blond and plays very well.

Teri Gross and Click and Clack surprised me when I saw their photos as well.

I read in the newspaper that Amherst has the 10th highest property tax rate in the state. Longmeadow is number one. This is one time being in the top 10 is a distinction I could do without.
