Taking my granddaughter to preschool, we were stopped in front of the Hadley Garden Center. My granddaughter wanted to know what the man was holding. I explained that he was putting the flag up.
I suddenly realized that with all the turmoil in our country, the flag will be flown. Politics aside, it was time for reflection. The flag is more than the stars and stripes; it is all of us.
