10:20 a.m. – Police located a suspicious vehicle parked at a North Amherst location. The vehicle had been stolen from Springfield. Officers are investigating.

4:27 p.m. – Amherst Police assisted an out-of-town department in searching for a man in possession of a firearm who was reportedly on his way to town.

5:55 a.m. – A man sleeping in the lobby at the community room at Jean Elder Apartments was awoken and sent on his way.

9:17 p.m. – An argument between two brothers and a friend at Colonial Village ended when police got there.

9:06 a.m. – An Amherst woman called police to report her purse was missing from her car, possibly stolen three days earlier when it was parked at a South Amherst store.

3:40 p.m. – One vehicle was towed following a two-car accident with no personal injuries at the intersection of Belchertown Road and Hall Drive, police said.
9:43 p.m. – A vehicle that hit an object on Belchertown Road near Old Belchertown Road fled before police got there, and was not located, according to police.

11:43 a.m. – Police contacted the drivers of two vehicles observed passing school buses that had their emergency lights activated.

11:49 a.m. – Police spoke to a North Amherst woman who claims her former landlord is using invisibility gear to enter her home, which is the only explanation she could give as to why when she wakes up each morning items are moved around the residence, and rubber bands are on her arms.

5:45 a.m. – A horse loose on Station Road was returned to its field.
11:05 a.m. – The animal welfare officer is investigating an aggressive dog on Tanglewood Road.

1:48 p.m. – Police were notified about people causing a traffic issue by passing a football across North Pleasant Street near Kellogg Avenue.

7:41 p.m. – Two homeless people loitering near a downtown bar were sent on their way and advised to pick up their trash. Two other homeless people hanging out inside a vacant store on Boltwood Walk were removed by police.

2:01 a.m. – Police issued a verbal warning to a driver whose car stereo was playing loud music on Blue Hills Road. He told police he was just about to leave after dropping off his girlfriend.

8:48 a.m. – More than $600 worth of products were reported stolen in a shoplifting incident at the CVS Pharmacy on North Pleasant Street. Police are investigating the incident, which happened the previous day.

1:51 p.m. – Police warned three people jumping off the cliff into Puffer’s Pond to stop the activity. Two people who brought dogs to the south beach were advised to keep their pets off the site.

8:37 p.m. – A Village Park resident told police that fraud was committed in her name in San Bernadino, California, when someone used her identity to purchase various electronic items at a Sprint store.
