Says McDonald will listen to all voices

Over a year ago, Allison McDonald and I marched together in the Walk for Science in downtown Amherst.

It was there that she expressed her interest in being a part of change rather than sitting on the sidelines watching. Allison is running for Amherst School Committee to contribute to the community she loves and is deeply invested in.

Allison has over 20 years of experience in communications, a critical skill for working not only with her fellow School Committee members but all community stakeholders. Allison’s current employment at a local nonprofit further reflects her commitment to contributing to the greater good.

The Amherst School Committee has always had varied and diverse opinions, much like our thriving community. I know Allison will seek to listen to all voices, with thoughtfulness, critical thinking and optimism.

With two children in the Amherst public schools, she shares my commitment to a rigorous public education, in a healthy environment for all the children of our community. Allison is prepared for the hard work that lies ahead and possesses the drive and commitment to help this committee progress through very important decisions.

I urge you to join me in supporting Allison McDonald on March 27.
