The Amherst Survival Center is excited to announce that we will once again host an election day food drive on March 27.
Amherst polling places, open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., will have food drive collection barrels available so that voters can bring donations of canned food and personal care items when they cast their ballots. The contributions we receive through community food drives and collections provide food pantry recipients with a wide and varied selection of items.
All donations of nonperishable food are appreciated. For those who would like to help supply the Amherst Survival Center’s upcoming Kids BOOST program, which provides families with school-age children extra food during months that have a scheduled school vacation, child-friendly nutritious snacks and foods would be greatly appreciated. For information on what is most needed by the food pantry, please visit the Survival Center’s website at https://amherstsurvival.org/mostwanted/.
Please join us, and thank you in advance for helping to make this election day food drive a community success.
