10:08 a.m. – A hit-and-run accident was reported on Berkshire Terrace. Police said they later identified the offending vehicle.

5:37 a.m. – A suspicious vehicle stopping abruptly, and whose driver was throwing items out the window, was pulled over by police on Middle Street. Police determined the driver was delivering newspapers.

11:55 a.m. – A man rolling marijuana joints while seated at a downtown restaurant was issued a trespass notice to stay out of the business.
4:47 p.m. – South Amherst residents told police a neighbor entered their property and yelled at their children. The residents were unable to identify the man to police.

3:11 p.m. – Mailboxes at three South East Street homes were reported damaged by vandals.

7:18 p.m. – One vehicle was towed following a two-car accident with no personal injuries at the intersection of Meadow Street and the Route 116 bypass, police said. One driver was issued a citation for a traffic violation.
9 p.m. – A vehicle that struck a tree near the intersection of Meadow Street and Route 116 was towed, police said.

10:16 a.m. – A hawk with an injured leg in the Big Y Supermarket parking lot on University Drive flew away into a tree when police got there.

5:40 a.m. – A vehicle that went off Flat Hills Road into a snowbank caused wires to come down, police said. Eversource was on scene making repairs to the lines. The vehicle was able to drive off under its own power.

6:53 p.m. – A woman was seen pouring herself a glass of wine in a vehicle parked in Amherst, then began drinking before traveling north to Leverett. Leverett Police was notified about the possible drunken driver.
10:51 p.m. – A passenger in a vehicle stopped on Main Street from a traffic infraction used a blanket to cover a small amount of marijuana and a bong in the back seat. Police warned the passenger about making suspicious movements during a traffic stop.

1 p.m. – Police assisted a woman at a Belchertown Road home remove her former boyfriend, get him to return the keys to the residence and disable a camera that he put in the home to observe her. The woman told police she didn’t want to pursue charges against the man for his alleged surveillance.

9:13 a.m. – Hedges on Summer Street were damaged when a vehicle went off the snow-covered road, police said. The driver agreed to compensate the homeowner for the damage.
1:49 p.m. – A vehicle was towed from West Street near the entrance to Hampshire College after a wind gust blew it off the road into a utility pole, police said.
3:45 p.m. – Both vehicles were towed following a two-car accident with no personal injuries at the intersection of Mill Lane and South East Street that occurred when one slid through a stop sign because of the snow-covered road, police said.
6:38 p.m. – A vehicle drove off West Street into a snowbank near Atkins Farms Country Market, police said. The vehicle was towed.
8:43 p.m. – Snow drifts caused a vehicle to go off Meadow Street near Russellville Road, police said. The vehicle was towed and the Department of Public Works was notified to treat the road.

11:22 a.m. – The Department of Public Works was notified to put sand down on Stanley Street after several vehicles spun out on an icy road surface at the corner near Kiwanis Field.
1 p.m. – A man disrupting traffic while panhandling from the median at the intersection of University Drive and Northampton Road was removed by officers.
2:39 p.m. – A PVTA bus got stuck in the middle of a roundabout on West Street due to icy road conditions.
