BELCHERTOWN — The Northwestern District Attorney’s office released the name late Saturday of the woman who was struck and killed by a car the night of Aug. 17 in Belchertown.

Margaret F. Kemp, 65, was struck by a car at the intersection of Routes 9 and 202 just before 11:30 p.m.

A vehicle was traveling east on Route 9 and making a right turn onto Route 202 when the woman was hit, said Mary Carey, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.

The car remained on the scene following the crash, Carey said.

Belchertown Police, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s office and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services are investigating the fatality, Carey said.
