Garden report: what a joy it is to write those words. The forsythia, daffodils, crocus, pulmonaria are in bloom. I think some carrot tops have emerged in the raised bed. That would be a nice surprise that some over wintered.
I planted pansies in pots. I will probably put out lettuce seedlings this weekend. They did well in front of the south facing window.

Jim Brassord of Amherst will row from Florida back to town to raise funds for the John Musante Health Center that will open in the Bangs Center. So far $60,000 of the remaining $100,000 has been pledged for his effort.
There will be a groundbreaking for the Musante Center April 28 at 10 a.m. RSVP if you plan to attend by calling 238-4111 and you can make a pledge for Jim’s effort. You can visit: hchcweb.org to make a pledge as well.

The Sustainability Fair will be held April 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Town Common. The event includes vendors, entertainment, workshops and collection of pellet bags, textiles, cell phones, computers and styrofoam chunks. It’s a chance to celebrate Earth Day as well. It’s free. You can touch a Tesla as well.
The Farmer’s Market also opens for the season that day.
