AMHERST — A member of the development team for Cooley Dickinson Hospital will be the next president of the board of directors for the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce.

Georgia Moore, director of leadership gifts for Cooley Dickinson Health Care, will be formally named to the position Tuesday during the chamber’s annual meeting at the Red Barn at Hampshire College.

“The chamber is a vital and important resource for the Amherst area,” Moore said in a statement. “I look forward to working with the board and chamber staff in supporting and advocating for our members.”

Moore succeeds Amherst businesswoman Julie Marcus, the office director for SWCA Environmental Consultants, formerly New England Environmental.

The executive committee for the chamber will include Marcus, First Vice President Peter Vickery and Second Vice President Mollye Lockwood.

Additionally, Jerry Guidera will serve as treasurer, Sean Cleary as secretary and Jim Brassord and Nancy Buffone as at-large members.
