Sort of garden report: I harvested the green tomatoes and ate the final red one Nov. 10. It was slightly shriveled but real.
The parsley is still pickable. It is in a pot right next to the house so captures some warmth from the south facing wall. The cactus has buds, just in time to bloom for Thanksgiving.

The First Congregational Church Cranberry Fair is Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The South Congregational Church Sleigh Bell Fair is Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Both have baked goods, lunch, white elephants, clothes, collectibles, books, raffles and lots of volunteers.

The Interfaith Thanksgiving Service will be held Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Wesley Methodist United Church on North Maple Street in Hadley. The topic is, “Thanksgiving as Radical Hospitality.”
Members of various faiths will participate. The free will offering will be donated to Not Bread Alone.
