AMHERST
Matthew J. Voisine, 43, of Chicopee, was arrested June 26 at 10:04 a.m. on Bridge Street on charges of speeding, operating a motor vehicle with no license in possession and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, police said.
Mychal G. Carter, 24, of Summer Street, was arrested June 26 at 2:55 a.m. on Summer Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration. Carter was arrested after the vehicle he was driving went off road, crossed a yard and hit one parked vehicle in a driveway that was pushed into another parked vehicle, police said.
Audrey Yonda-Ketcakeu, 26, of Riverglade Drive, was arrested in the parking lot of her Mill Valley Estates residence June 25 at 11:35 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct after she was reported creating a disturbance while running and yelling as she was listening to her iPod, police said.
Elisha V. Velez, 18, of Curtis Place, was arrested June 23 at 11:33 p.m. at Rolling Green Apartments on charges of breaking and entering during the nighttime to commit a felony, being a minor in possession of alcohol and possession of a class D drug, marijuana, after she allegedly tried to get into a storage trailer at the Belchertown Road apartment complex, police said.
A 58-year-old Hadley man and a 60-year-old Amherst man will both be summoned to court on charges of assault and battery following an altercation on the Amherst Golf Club course June 21 at 4:45 p.m., police said.

9:48 p.m. – Pomeroy Lane residents who lit off fireworks apologized to police and said they were just celebrating the beginning of summer.

12:37 a.m. – A woman yelling at Clark House told police she had just had an argument with her brother over the phone.
9:15 p.m. – An employee at Primo Pizzaria, Too on Triangle Street reported being punched by one of five men causing issues at the restaurant. The employee told police he didn’t want to press charges.

1:52 p.m. – The animal welfare officer spoke to Teaberry Lane residents who saw a black bear in their neighborhood earlier in the day.

10:06 a.m. – A paving job without a police detail on Pomeroy Lane was shut down after officers discovered traffic congestion and a passing cruiser was nearly struck by oncoming vehicles.

7:02 p.m. – A South Pleasant Street resident who received a suspicious package was advised to return it to the post office to determine its contents.
7:42 p.m. – A resident reported her former roommate is accessing her cellphone and her boyfriend’s cellphone remotely. Police found no evidence of such activity.

9:32 p.m. – Police kept the peace between North Amherst residents arguing about smoking inside the home and issues surrounding second-hand smoke.
LARCENY
9:58 p.m. – A delivery vehicle left running outside a Main Street business was reported stolen about 10 minutes after the employee parked it. Police are investigating.
BREAK-INS
9 p.m. – A Lincoln Avenue resident reported seeing a man exit his garage after possibly stealing several quarters and loose change left inside his vehcle.

7:20 p.m. – A woman in the hospital asked police to check on the well-being of her pet snake at her Village Park residence. Looking through the windows, police observed the snake moving inside its cage and the heat lamp working properly.
9:51 p.m. – A skunk struck and killed by a passing vehicle on South East Street was moved from the road after several baby skunks entered the road and disrupted traffic.

9:38 a.m. – A man who allegedly yelled at other people while riding his bicycle on the Norwottuck Rail Trail was identified and sent on his way.

7:47 a.m. – A shirtless man who was screaming and acting odd while running around Olympia Oaks was not located by police. The man got upset when he confronted his former girlfriend and tried to get into her home.
10:42 a.m. – Police were unable to locate two homeless women at the First Congregational Church involved in a disturbance. One of the women allegedly struck the other.

4:54 p.m. – A verbal warning was issued by police to Colonial Village residents playing loud electric guitar.
