I am writing to support the Jones Library building project. Though I am a resident of South Hadley, I work in Amherst and am a regular user of the Jones Library. As a librarian myself, I am deeply concerned by the attempts to block this project when it is supported by a majority of voters and officials (both elected and appointed) in town. I am among the hundreds of people who have pledged financial support for the project and am baffled why there continues to be opposition after so many votes to support this desperately needed renovation and expansion. It's time to listen to the majority and end the challenges to the project.
