On behalf of the Amherst Affordable Housing Trust, I write to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Interfaith Housing Association of Amherst for their generous decision to donate the association’s remaining funds to the Trust Fund as they prepare to wind up operations. Their thoughtful generosity serves as a testament to the important role they have played in Amherst’s development.

For years, Interfaith Housing has been a pillar of support, providing invaluable resources and assistance to families in need. Their dedication to improving the lives of those around us has left a lasting mark on our community. Their legacy is visible in the affordable homes they’ve helped to build over the years and the families they’ve supported, and we are honored to receive their final donation to extend their contributions further.

Though much has changed about Amherst since the Interfaith Housing Association was founded, the need for affordable homes continues. That’s why the Affordable Housing Trust Fund is working to create safe, decent, and affordable housing for our most vulnerable populations. We draw inspiration from the Interfaith Housing Association’s contributions and commitments and invite all residents to join us in gratitude for your example.
