Garden report: the Stokes aster, Queen Anne’s Lace and tall phlox have bloomed. The sun gold tomatoes never made it into the house. I picked and ate. I harvested my zucchini and it’s the right size, not a baseball bat.

Joseph Kislo, president of the Pioneer Valley Water Garden and Koi Club, sent me an email about a self-guided tour of 12 koi ponds and water gardens in the area. The tour will be held rain or shine Saturday and Sunday, July 11-12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per family or car load. Visit pioneervalleykoipond.club to reserve online. It’s the 30th anniversary of the tour.

UMass Downtown is holding a Fun Saturday, July 11 from 10 a.m. until noon. Families can build their own mini aquarium. The Fun Saturdays occur weekly until Aug. 1 with a different activity each week. It’s free and open to the public. UMass Downtown is at 108 North Pleasant St. For those who have been in town a while, it’s where Augie’s was.

The 23rd annual Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament is Friday, July 17 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Cold Spring Country Club in Belchertown. Rosie Pearson sent me an email about the annual Behind the Barn Craft Fair that will be held Saturday, July 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brookfield Farm, 24 Hulst Road. The fair includes water prints, cards, fiber arts, jewelry, pottery and crystal sets, she wrote. The fair is free and open to the public.

The Friends of the Amherst Senior Center are holding a pop-up jewelry sale and need donations of used jewelry. Bring donations to the Senior Center located in the Bangs Center during regular hours. The deadline for donations is Aug. 20. The sale will be held Sept. 19 at the Amherst Farmer’s Market.
