Amherst Police
* A 57-year-old Grafton man will be summoned to court on a charge of allowing the operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, following a traffic stop on South Pleasant Street Monday at 11:08 p.m., police said.
* A 27-year-old Pompano Beach, Fla. woman will be summoned to court on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding, following a traffic stop on Snell Street Monday at 8:55 p.m., police said.
* The following people were arrested between Aug. 30 at 12:11 a.m. and Monday at 1:36 a.m. on Fearing Street, Nutting Avenue, McClure Street, Sunset Avenue, Lincoln Avenue and North Pleasant Street on charges of being minors in possession of alcohol and violating the town's open-container bylaw, police said:

* Jason A. Dellorfano, 21, of Belmont, Bilal A. Janjua, 21, of Braintree, and Trevin A. Williams, 21, of Millbury, were all arrested Monday at 1:32 a.m. at a Puffton Village home on charges of violating the town's noise bylaw, police said.
* A 21-year-old Greenfield man will be summoned to court on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a motor vehicle accident on Belchertown Road Monday at 12:25 a.m., police said.
* Daniel J. Trupin, 21, of Roslyn Estates, N.Y., was arrested Sunday at 2:15 a.m. on Meadow Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding police said.
* David K. John, 23, of South Hadley, was arrested Sunday at 1:43 a.m. on Old Farm Road on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense, speeding and failure to stay within marked lanes, police said.
John was arrested after the vehicle he was driving at an excessive speed went off the road into a street sign and tree, before the front end of the vehicle submerged in a pond, police said. No personal injuries were reported, according to police.
* James H. Redding, 18, of Marlbehead, was arrested Sunday at 12:15 a.m. on Hobart Lane on a charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol, police said.
* A 19-year-old Manalapan, N.J. Man will be summoned to court on charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and speeding after the vehicle he was driving on East Hadley Road Aug. 30 at 11:04 p.m. was traveling at 81 mph, more than double the posted speed limit, police said.
* Alexander J. Leruth, 20, of Southborough, was arrested Aug. 30 at 9:51 p.m. at a Sunset Avenue location on charges of domestic assault and battery, malicious destruction of property under $250 and resisting arrest, police said. Leruth was arrested after he pinned a woman down on a bed and then against a wall, and then put his fist through the wall of the bedroom before fleeing, police said.
The woman refused medical attention.
* A 19-year-old South Hadley man will be summoned to court on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol, violating the towns open container bylaw and resisting arrest following an incident on North Pleasant Street Aug. 30 at 2:20 a.m., police said. The man attempted to flee into nearby woods when observed by officers and was caught a short time later, police said.
* A 13-year-old Amherst boy was arrested Aug. 29 at 8:33 a.m. at his home on a charge of domestic assault and battery after he allegedly struck his grandmother, police said.
The woman was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton for treatment of injuries to her head and side, police said.
* Lynne I. Thompson, 56, of Trillium Way, was arrested Aug. 28 at 10:11 p.m. on North East Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failure to stay within marked lanes, police said.
Thompson's vehicle was stopped after it was observed repeatedly swerving and drifting into the other lane while traveling south on Sunderland Road, police said.
* A break-in at the high school sometime since Aug. 8 led to the theft of close to $5,000 worth of equipment from a third floor computer lab. Police took a report from school officials Aug. 27 at 3:44 p.m. that four computers, valued at $700 each, were stolen. Also missing is a projector valued at $2,000.
Entry appears to have been gained through the roof and an unsecured window into the computer lab, police said.
Police are investigating the incident.
* A door was kicked in at a Village Park residence and $250 in cash and a $25 savings bond were stolen from a closest in an incident reported to police Aug. 26 at 11:45 p.m. Police are investigating.
* Steven G. Beaudry, 49, of Granby, was arrested Aug. 26 at 6:39 p.m. on West Street on charges of domestic assault and battery and intimidating a witness, police said.
Beaudry was arrested after he pushed a woman to the ground on the side of the road, where he had stopped the motorcycle they were both riding, and then took away her cell phone, police said.
The woman didn't require medical attention, according to police.
* An Amherst man allegedly selling drugs from his business at the Carriage Shops off East Pleasant Street was arrested at his home on the morning of Aug. 26.
Eugene J. Alexander, 40, of Watson Farms, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. on charges of possession of a class B substance (cocaine) with intent to distribute, a drug violation within a school zone, possession of ammunition without a license, possession of a class D substance (marijuana), possession of a class C substance (psilocybin mushrooms), and possession of a class B substance (hydrocodone), subsequent offense, police said.
Alexander's arrest came following the execution of search warrants, by Amherst police and state police attached to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office, at both his residence and at Rampage, an urban clothing and footwear store he owns, police said.
The cocaine, hydrocodone and mushrooms were all located at the store, which is within 1,000 feet of the high school. The marijuana and ammunition were located at Alexander's home at Watson Farms.
* Susan L. Hall, 40, of Belchertown, was issued a citation for a traffic violation after the vehicle she was driving at the corner of East Pleasant Street and Owen Drive Aug. 25 at 4:26 p.m. collided with a vehicle driven by Judith C. Wobst, 57, of Montague Road, Leverett, police said.
Damage to both vehicles was minor, and no personal injuries were reported, according to police.
* Robert E. Thrasher, 90, of Pelham Road, was issued a citation for failure to use care in turning after the vehicle he was driving on College Street Aug. 25 at 9:42 a.m. sideswiped a vehicle driven by Nancy E. Stewart, 49, of White Pine Road, police said. Damage to both vehicles was minor, and no personal injuries were reported, according to police.
* A 20-year-old Feeding Hills man will be summoned to court on a charge of larceny over $250 after he stole two laptop computers from a person with whom he was staying on Maplewood Circle in an incident reported to police July 5, police said.
* Between Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, police recovered a pocketbook, a necklace, two wallets, a backpack and a passport and took report of a lost wallet. Police checked for speeding vehicles on Bay Road, Old Farm Road, Mill Lane and Lincoln Avenue, performed well-being checks on nine residents, provided two courtesy escorts and one escort for a funeral and delivered mail to members of the Select Board.
Police responded to false alarms at 15 businesses, three homes and the high school and checked on vehicles parked at Puffer's Pond, Amethyst Brook Conservation Area, the Notch Visitors Center, The Brook and Mill Valley Estates and on University Drive, College Street and West Street.
Hadley Police
* Police responded to a noise complaint on East Street Aug. 27 at 10:19 p.m.
* A skunk got inside the elementary school gym Aug. 27 at 1:29 p.m. A sick skunk was also reported in the back yard of a High Meadow Road home Aug. 27 at 4:14 p.m.
* A GPS system was reported stolen Aug. 27 at 11:03 a.m. from a vehicle parked at Whole Foods Market at Mountain Farms Mall. The vehicle was entered through a smashed window.
* Bryan P. Kolakoski, 21, of North Hillside road, South Deerfield, was arrested Aug. 27 at 1:35 a.m. on Route 116 on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop/yield, and failure to stay within marked lanes, police said.
UMass Police
* Pavel Espinal, 20, of Salem, was arrested Aug. 27 at 1:05 a.m. on Eastman Lane on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, failure to yield at an intersection, operating a motor vehicle with no license in possession, being a minor in possession of alcohol and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, police said.
Jennifer K. Bogosian, 20, of Sterling and a passenger in Espinal's vehicle, was arrested at the same time and place on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and being a minor in possession of alcohol, police said.
* A 39-year-old Southwick man will be summoned to court on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle following a traffic stop at the corner of University Drive and Fearing Street Aug. 26 at 10:40 a.m., police said.
* A 29-year-old Washington, D.C. woman will be summoned to court on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding following a traffic stop on Massachusetts Avenue Aug. 25 at 5:38 p.m., police said.
