Garden report: Leaf buds are visible on the lilac bush. The willow tree has leaf buds with their pale green hue. I planted some zinnia seeds in flats to be transferred outdoors when they have two sets of leaves. It is definitely springtime.

I have started hanging laundry outside.

The automated voice didn’t hear me yell, “WHAT!!!!” I pay my bill every month. I looked and saw I sent a check Feb. 27, which had not been cashed by April 3. In addition, they should have received the March check by April 3 since it had been six days.

I agreed to pay the overdue payment by credit card, which reinstated my internet in 30 minutes. Now I will write and ask them what they do with my checks
