Garden report: The lavender and marigolds have bloomed. However, the marigold leaves are lace, don’t know what’s eating them.

The lettuce seeds never germinated so I planted radish seeds in that space. I harvested basil and peppermint stalks to dry. I will plant sugar snap peas for a fall crop.

I will process tomatoes either make sauce or cut and freeze pieces.

Help! The Meals on Wheels program at the Bangs Center needs drivers. One day of delivery had to be canceled since there were no drivers. One day a week, or a month or serving as a back up would be greatly appreciated. Contact volunteer coordinator Julia MacFadzen at: macfadzenj@amherstma.gov or 413-259-3060 to help. Thanks.
